Pitcher is an acronym for Pundits Ignoring Torture, Civil & Human Essential Rights. It also a pun referring to both baseball games and their pitchers on opposing teams. Instead of two opposing teams, Pitcher hopes to examine some of the institutions, organizations, personalities and pundits involved in determining the politics of U.S. foreign policy, how American culture views the world, neo conservatives and political comedy to find out how it effects the human, social and civil rights of indigenous peoples, women and people of color.

Dehumanization of Arab World

A kaledoscope of various films, television shows and news clips in which peoples, culture, religion and diversity of Arab worl has been ignored & stereotyped from the earliest days of European colonialism across the middle East & Africa. In some cases orientalist images of Arabs as backward, odalesque, barbarians, religious fanatics, idiotic warriors & threatening others were used to justify Western colonialism at the expense of exchanging knowledge about culture, traditions and understanding history and society of Africa & Middle East. These images have changed from the orientalist painintings of 19th century Western artists into new stereotypes of Arabs & their culture as either condoning terrorists, an irrational threat & religious fanatic. Even Islam, the brother religion to Judiasm & Christianity is treated as a violent driven religion far removed its cousins.
